Changing Conflict Dynamics is a must for anyone who has problems with or avoids conflict. Let's face it, conflict is the norm in most organizations and life itself. Learn your style of conflict. Experience the biology (Roots and Personal Impact Triggers) and define what conflict means to you and your desires regarding how to handle it. Deal with difficult conflict situations through assertions skills, both at home and in the workplace, while practicing how to assert your messages in a safe setting.

Changing Conflict Dynamics Objectives:

  • Learn about the Five Roots of Conflict and understand interrelationships between the Four Personal Impact Triggers.
  • Define what conflict means to you and your desires regarding how to handle conflict and identify your personal conflict style.
  • Understand the five conflict styles and use one that fits your conflict situation.
  • Learn that power does not corrupt people, people use power to corrupt in conflict situations.
  • Learn to deal with difficult people through assertion approaches and the balance of power.
  • Practice three solid solutions to balance the power in conflict: assertion, conflict style choice, and asking questions.
  • Practice the skills of 3rd party facilitation in a conflict process.
  • Plan strategy and tactics in conflict situations.
  • Tackle a conflict and take the learning back to the job and personal life, and be able to repeat the process with confidence and competence.
